NOTICE IMPOSING OF TRADE RESTRICTIONS ON LIVE POULTRY, MEAT AND OTHER PRODUCTS DERIVED FROM POULTRY IN THE USA STATE of WASHINGTON
Dear Importer,
An outbreak of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) has occurred in Washington (WOAH Follow up report 89 dated 02 November 2023).
Permits will continue to be issued for other administrative territories of the USA for day old chicks, hatching eggs, table eggs, and poultry meat except for Minnesota, Montana, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Iowa, California, Alabama and Washington.
Cut off dates for poultry meat already on route are as follows:
Consignments containing products packed in their final packaging* on or after 05 October from Washington will be rejected and returned to the USA or destroyed at the cost of the importer.
