The last bird flu outbreak at a poultry farm in the Netherlands dated from November 21 last year. After that, there had only been an outbreak in ornamental waterfowl on 21 December. It seemed calm and outbreaks did not occur for a long time, perhaps thanks to farmer’s efforts and all (hygiene) measures.
The Netherlands Agricultural and Horticultural Association (LTO) therefore continues to call on all poultry farmers and everyone active in the sector to remain extremely vigilant and to continue to apply all necessary hygiene measures.
